Walking into Miller’s Ale House (8963 International Dr, Orlando, FL 32819), it never crossed my mind that they would be in contention for a Geg Star. I must admit, I am a huge fan of Miller’s Ale House. That said I would have never considered they were in the “Geg Star” caliber.

Most who are familiar with Miller’s Ale House, are familiar with their flagship item that is printed at the top of the menu. The nearly 2,000 calorie dish that consists of sauced fried chicken tenders atop a pile of french fries with melted cheese, bacon, and chives. This mountain of an entree is appropriately coined Zinger Mountain Melt™.

My Very Own Zinger Mountain Melt™

It is rare for me to indulge and attempt to summit the Zinger™ mountain, but tonight it was calling my name. I opted to go ahead and order it in the style that I do, with a cocktail of barbecue and hot sauce on the chicken, whilst opting out of the green onions. As time passed and the waiter came around the corner, in his hands was a Mountain Melt so gorgeous that belonged in a museum.

When most think Geg Star, they commonly associate the honor with high-price fine-dining establishments. Nobody would expect a bar like Miller’s Ale House to be in the rafters among the elite. That said, on that Friday evening Miller’s Ale House came to play, and rightfully earned their spot in the Geg Star winners row.
